What the AI Article Writer does

The AI Article Writer takes a topic and generates a full article with structured H2/H3 hierarchy, internal links to your existing pages, an FAQ section, key takeaways, and metadata. Outline generation is free - credits are only spent when you generate the full article.

Choose your model

  • Haiku 4.5 (200 credits) - Fast and cost-effective; best for short-form and high-volume content.
  • Sonnet 4.6 (400 credits) - Balanced quality; the default for most articles.
  • Opus 4.7 (1,500 credits) - Premium long-form; best for cornerstone content.

How to use the AI Article Writer

  1. Start from a saved topic in the Content Gaps backlog (recommended) or start a new article from scratch.
  2. Generate an outline - this is free. You can edit H2 titles, add H3 subsections, set keywords per section, and add URLs to link to.
  3. Click "Write Article" when the outline looks right. Credits are deducted here based on the selected model.
  4. Edit the article in the built-in editor with autosave, link popover for inline URL editing, Preview mode, and Copy formatted.

Editor features

  • Autosave every 2.2 seconds.
  • Link popover - click any hyperlink to edit, remove, or open in a new tab.
  • Visual / Preview toggle - see how the article will look as a published page.
  • Download dropdown - export as Markdown, HTML, plain text, or Copy formatted (preserves H2/H3 spacing for pasting into Google Docs, Notion, or Word).
  • Internal linking - the writer auto-suggests links to your existing site pages.

Tips

  • Always review the outline before generating - small edits there save big edits later.
  • Sonnet is the sweet spot for most local SEO content.
  • Use Opus for pillar pages and cornerstone content where quality justifies the cost.
  • The credits-config keeps the costs transparent: 200 / 400 / 1,500 - shown live on the Write Article button.
